Shadowban
When a network quietly limits who sees an account's posts, without telling the account it has done so.
The term describes a sudden drop in reach, especially from hashtags and recommendations, with no warning. Networks rarely use the word, but they do restrict posts that break their recommendation guidelines. Instagram's Account Status page now shows whether your posts can be recommended to non-followers.
Common causes include banned or spammy hashtags, reposted content with watermarks, automated follow and like tools, and content close to a rule's edge. Often a drop in reach is simply the algorithm, not a penalty.
