Posttyy

Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Cavelights LTD for the use of Posttyy.

Effective 12 September 2026

1. Who we are

Posttyy(“the service”, “we”, “us”) is a social media scheduling tool operated by Cavelights LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. You can reach us at cavelightstore@gmail.com.

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.

2. What the service does

Posttyy lets you connect accounts you control on third-party social media platforms, write posts, and schedule them to be published to those platforms at a time you choose. A background worker publishes each post when it falls due.

The service is a tool for sending your content to those platforms. It does not host a public audience of its own, and it does not display your posts to anyone but you.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the service, and you must give an email address you control. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at cavelightstore@gmail.com if you believe someone else has access to it.

You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your country, and at least old enough to hold an account on the platforms you connect — typically 13, and higher in some places.

4. One account, one person

Posttyy is for one person. Your posts, drafts, uploaded media and connected social accounts belong to your login and are visible only to it. There is no way to share a calendar with somebody else, and no way to give another login access to yours.

If two people need to schedule for the same social account, each needs their own Posttyyaccount and each must connect that social account themselves. Sharing one login’s password to work around this is not permitted — see clause 3, which makes you responsible for everything done through your account.

5. Connecting a social media account

When you connect an account, the platform asks you to authorise Posttyy and then gives us an access credential. We store that credential encrypted and use it only to do what you have asked — publish the posts you schedule, and read the basic profile details needed to show you which account is connected.

You confirm that:

You can disconnect an account at any time from the Connected Socials page, which deletes the stored credential. You can also revoke our access from within the platform’s own settings.

6. Your content

Your posts, images and videos remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.

You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service for you: to store your content, and to transmit it to the platforms you have chosen, at the times you have scheduled. That permission exists for the purpose of running the service and ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for what you publish. You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload, including any music, images or footage within it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Posttyy to:

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious we will normally contact you first.

8. Scheduling is a best effort, not a guarantee

This is the most important limitation to understand, so it gets its own section rather than being buried in the disclaimer below.

Publishing a post means calling a third party’s API at the moment it falls due. That call can fail for reasons entirely outside our control: the platform can be unavailable, it can reject the post, it can revoke or expire the credential you gave us, it can change its rules, or it can hold a video in processing for longer than expected. A platform may also apply its own restrictions to posts made through an API — for example limiting their visibility.

We therefore do not guarantee that any post will be published, that it will be published at exactly the scheduled time, or that it will be visible to any particular audience once published. The service reports failures to you on the post itself, and you remain responsible for checking that anything time-critical actually went out.

9. Plans, payment and the free trial

Posttyy is a paid subscription. There is no free tier. Current prices are on the pricing page and are shown to you again on the checkout page before you confirm.

The free trial. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. We take your card details when you sign up but charge you nothing that day. When the 7 days end, the card is charged for the plan and billing period you chose, and the subscription continues until you cancel. Cancel at any point during the trial and you are not charged at all. The trial is once per customer: if you have subscribed before, a new subscription is charged immediately.

Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — at the price then in force, until cancelled. We will tell you before any price change takes effect for you, and you can cancel before it does.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing inside the app, which opens our payment provider’s portal. Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not shorten the period you have already paid for: your plan keeps working until that period ends.

What happens when a subscription ends. When a subscription ends — because you cancelled, because a trial finished without payment, or because a payment failed — your connected accounts stop publishing and scheduled posts do not go out. Nothing is deleted. Your posts, drafts, uploaded media and connected accounts stay exactly as they were, and subscribing again restores access to all of them. We keep them under the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, our payment provider retries it. While it is unpaid your access is suspended as described above. Updating your card in the billing portal restores access once the payment succeeds.

Payment handling. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply where you are, which are added at checkout where required.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Posttyy running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may stop supporting a platform if that platform changes or withdraws the API we rely on. Where a change materially reduces what you can do, we will give you reasonable notice if we can.

11. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service.

When your account is deleted, we delete your stored credentials and content as described in the Privacy Policy. Posts already published to a platform stay on that platform — they are yours, on your account, and you remove them there.

12. No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or loss arising from a post that failed to publish, published late, or published with a visibility you did not intend. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in that period, or £100.

If you use the service for business purposes, you accept that this allocation of risk is reasonable given that the service is provided at low or no cost and depends on third-party platforms we do not control.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will make a reasonable effort to tell you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country you live in.
