Someone who makes content for an audience on social media, often as a job funded by sponsorships, ads, subscriptions or products.
"Creator" has largely replaced "influencer" as the word people use for themselves. It puts the emphasis on the work, the videos, posts and newsletters, rather than on the ability to sell.
Instagram and TikTok offer creator accounts with extra analytics and tools, and most networks now pay creators directly through ad-sharing, bonuses or subscriptions.
