A schedule of what will be posted, where and when, usually planned weeks ahead.
A content calendar shows the whole plan at once: each post, its network, its date and time, and whether it's written, approved or ready. It keeps posting consistent, balances topics, and makes room for holidays, launches and events well before they arrive.
It can be a spreadsheet, but a scheduler's calendar goes one step further: the post you plan is the post that publishes, at the time on the calendar.
