Follower growth

How quickly an account gains followers over a period, often shown as a percentage of where it started.
Gaining 300 followers in a month from 6,000 is 5% growth. Tracking the rate rather than the raw number shows whether growth is speeding up or slowing down, and lets small and large accounts compare.
Sudden jumps usually trace back to one post that travelled, a collaboration or a mention. Finding what caused them is more useful than the number itself.
