Every scheduling company publishes a best time to post on Pinterest. The times do not agree. This guide shows what three large studies found, what they have in common, and how to find the time that works for your own account.

One study says midday. Two say afternoon and evening. Each studied different accounts, so each found a different answer.
Why the hour matters less on Pinterest
- Pinterest is a search engine. People find a pin when they search, not only when you post it.
- A pin lasts for months. On other networks a post is finished in a day. A pin keeps showing in search for weeks or months.
- The first hour is a small part. Most of a pin's views can come long after the day you posted it.
So do not move your whole plan to reach 8 pm exactly. Use the time you save to make one more pin.
What matters more than the hour
- A new picture. See what a fresh pin is.
- Keywords in the title and description. See how to write pin titles and descriptions.
- A steady pace. One pin every day does more than seven on Sunday.
- The season. People plan on Pinterest weeks before an event. Pin Christmas ideas in October.
How to find your own best time
- For four weeks, pin at different hours: morning, afternoon and evening.
- On Pinterest, open your analytics.
- Sort your pins by outbound clicks.
- Write down the hour and the day of your top ten pins.
- If one stretch appears many times, put more pins there. If none does, the hour is not what decides your results.
Think about who you pin for. Parents look at recipes before dinner. A person who plans a wedding looks in the evening and at the weekend. Use the time zone of your audience, not your own.
How to pin at those times with Posttyy
You do not need to be online at 8 pm. In Posttyy there are two ways.
