Short for "profile picture": the small image, usually shown as a circle, that represents an account.
Your PFP appears beside every post, comment and message, often tiny. A clear face or a simple logo, centred so the circle crop doesn't cut it, reads best at that size.
Using the same PFP on every network helps people recognise you. Upload a square picture larger than it's shown, so it stays sharp, with the subject in the middle.
